Hi Sergey, thanks for the note. The original test clips did not have audio either as they were designed specifically for video encoder testing. The clips have different complexities, types of motion, etc… which exercise different parts of the encoder logic.
Hi Vlad, thanks for your question. The workflow consisted of capturing the scenes with a RED camera and editing/exporting to ProRes, at which point they were uploaded to RUclips. You can download the ProRes versions on the Elemental website.
Why all the samples come with no sound? would be so useful for video streaming tests

How soon until major video providers like Hulu Plus, Netflix and other smart TV apps support HEVC? Smart TV apps are the best way to get HEVC out right away. Some 2013 smart tv's support HEVC, if not you can upgrade Samsung tv's smart tv component.
